“When Jesus finished washing the disciples feet, He said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, a servant is not greater than his lord; neither one that is sent greater than he that sent him.” 9john 13: 16-20)
Some years ago, the Wall Street Journal ran a cartoon which showed a business executive kneeling beside his bed. "Oh, Lord use me," he prayed, "but if it's all the same to you, Lord, use me in an executive capacity."
The cartoon is laughable because the self-serving attitude of the executive is so at odds with the teachings of Jesus, the humble, Suffering Servant. But, sadly, the arrogant cartoon figure would be right at home in the board rooms of many American companies. Read More...
