“Be glad and rejoice, for your reward is very great in heaven.” (Matthew 5: 1-12)
A Christian bookstore in the local shopping mall keeps on display a holographic, 3-D image of Christ that changes shape as you approach. At first, you see a picture of the resurrected Christ. But take a few steps closer and the image dissolves into a picture of the suffering Christ. A few more steps and, once again, the picture becomes that of the resurrected Christ, the suffering Christ and so on.
The effect is mesmerizing because it calls to mind how quickly life can turn on us.
